Benchmarking Sub-15ms Localization: Measuring Edge TTFB Across APAC, Europe, and Americas

Real-world telemetry and synthetic load testing data evaluating Time to First Byte (TTFB) and throughput across distributed global edge proxy clusters.

Benchmarking Sub-15ms Localization: Measuring Edge TTFB Across APAC, Europe, and Americas

To measure the real-world latency impact of edge translation delivery, we conducted synthetic load tests across 50 global testing locations using automated headless browser instances.

Benchmark Methodology

A standard 1.2MB e-commerce product landing page containing 450 unique text strings was loaded 10,000 times across three regional edge nodes:

  • US East (Virginia): Average TTFB: 11.4ms | Full DOM Ready: 142ms
  • Western Europe (Frankfurt): Average TTFB: 13.2ms | Full DOM Ready: 158ms
  • East Asia (Tokyo): Average TTFB: 14.8ms | Full DOM Ready: 169ms

The data confirms that in-memory Redis L1 caching combined with OpenLiteSpeed event-driven I/O delivers localized pages with virtually zero perceptible overhead compared to origin responses.
